John P. Boscia, O.D. founded his private practice in Forks Township in 1987. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1985. Dr. Boscia earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Professional Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown, in 1981, and is a member of the Easton Area High School class of 1977.
Dr. Boscia is licensed to treat glaucoma and ocular disease. He began his career in association with the late retinal specialist I.H. Elzeneiny, M.D. of Bethlehem, where he gained extensive experience diagnosing and treating retinal disease. Today, Dr. Boscia's practice focuses on primary care optometry, with an emphasis on medical eye care. He is pleased to offer state-of-the-art technology for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease, and cataracts. He also specializes in contact lens fittings and effectively co-manages LASIK procedures and cataract surgery. Dr. Boscia is an active member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Lehigh Valley Optometric Associations. In 2000, he served as the President of the Lehigh Valley Optometric Association. He has maintained ties with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University) by serving as preceptor and helping to train future doctors of optometry. |
