John P. Boscia, O.D. founded his private optometric practice
in Forks Township in 1987. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the
Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1985. Dr. Boscia earned his Bachelor of
Science degree in Pre-Professional Biology from the University of Pittsburgh,
Johnstown, in 1981, and is a member of the Easton Area High School class of
1977.
Dr. Boscia is licensed to treat
glaucoma and ocular disease. He began his career in association with the late
retinal specialist I.H. Elzeneiny, M.D. of Bethlehem, where he gained extensive
experience diagnosing and treating retinal disease. Today, Dr. Boscia's
practice focuses on primary care Optometry, specializing in contact lenses and
the treatment of glaucoma. He also effectively co-manages LASIK procedures and
cataract surgeries.
Dr. Boscia is an active member of the American,
Pennsylvania, and Lehigh Valley Optometric Associations. In 2000, he served as
the President of the Lehigh Valley Optometric Association. He has maintained
ties with the Pennsylvania College of Optometry by serving as preceptor and
helping to train future doctors of optometry.
Over the last twenty-two
years, Dr. Boscia's practice has grown considerably, while still preserving a
commitment to provide quality, caring, service-oriented eyecare to all
patients.
